In 2008, the Trustees Program allowed the Chamber to:
- Develop and implement public policy initiatives, including hiring a registered lobbyist to represent the Chamber and the business community in Annapolis
- Begin implementation of our new strategic plan, Vision 2012
- Establish the Frederick County Business Roundtable for Education, which presented its first career conference, FutureLink to more than 250 tenth grade students
- Host U.S. Senator Ben Cardin and other elected officials at special trustees-only events
- Publish the Chamber’s newsletter in the business section of The Frederick News-Post on the second Tuesday of each month
- Present over 70 events, including our Annual Picnic, Golf Scramble, Frederick Regional Job Fair, and the overwhelmingly successful Business EXPO
In addition to invitations for exclusive quarterly events, Chamber Trustees receive premium marketing exposure on our web site, in our newsletter, and at our major events. Discounted advertising rates and event tickets are also available to Chamber Trustees.
The Chamber is committed to serving as a resource and advocate for our business community. Our Trustee Program continues to help the Chamber position itself for future projects, programs, and partnerships, and reinforces our ability to more effectively serve our members and our community.
